Finally... snowed mono lake!
I traveled to Lee Vining with all the happy thought of seeing the different scene of the Mono Lake after I learned there would be snow there. However when I arrived, there was no snow at all on the ground. While I was waiting for the snow, I did quite a bit of scouting around and exploring areas nearby for the sand tufa as well. But when I saw dull weather, I had to go to the Death Valley for two days. I came back to Lee Vining after some news of the snow falling. But again, when I came back to this area, the ground was barely covered with snow. However my waiting for another day was worthwhile because finally some heavy snow was coming overnight, with a beautifully sunny morning the next day.
Yes.. I went to the South Tufa with a happy smile even though the wind was blowing rather harshly. Oh.. well, I didn't mind that al all.
Another note to mention.. that there was not a single soul there but me!
