No problem Greg, with a gentleman like yourself I feel privileged to help as much as I can.
As far as JPG vs. RAW goes, there are times when as an insurance I turn RAW format on as well, typically when the ambient light is very low or its quality could cause trouble. The RAW format has more image file adjustment and recovery leeway than JPGs. The other factor of importance is that I work hard on getting the exposure right with my camera, therefore I seldom need to do much photoshop adjustment on my JPG files, and that's what makes my almost exclusive reliance on JPGs adequate for my needs.
In the end, whatever format suits us better, that is what we should follow, because once the camera/lens work is done right, the postprocessing work should be real easy and not that critical for the final product quality.
At any rate, that's the way I see it.
