For some reason I was in JPEG so not much done with these. The backgrounds are a bit busy but that is the norm here in Missouri.
Thank you for looking,
Greg

Nice detail and sharpness on the birds. All you need now is to look for a setting where the birds can be separated from other things in the frame by a little distance.

Hey Greg how you doing buddy

Yep that is tight and busy quarters to work in with little birds. You did all you could. Cardinal reds look a little light in color perhaps?
Take care, shoot more

Hello my friend!
Tough Thanksgiving with an impaired driver crossing the yellow line as I was taking my elderly parents home after turkey lunch. We are making some progress but those things get tougher at their age. So, we have some challenges but we will make it 😃
Certainly hope you are well. I will post what is left of my parents Buick. I have a new one waiting at the lot to pick up this week. I don't know if I want to drive it though lol.

Holy smokes buddy! This looks horrific! Better car design and crumple zones and airbags are a good thing, a very very good thing and your new Buick will be even better. Best wishes to you and your parents, man that gives me goosebumps.............take care Greg

Thank you Morris and I am sorry you have been there. This is my third car to be in when totaled, but never my fault. I was once slammed by a semi and that left me broken ribs and two broken jaws. To top that I had a car do a u turn in the highway and my motorcycle T-boned it and I went over the car 90 feet to hit pavement and that was worth compound fractures on BOTH arms and broken ribs. This though was by far the worse because though I only got a few stitches inside my ear and getting PT for back and neck...this time my parents were with me. After I got them free from hanging in the air by their shoulder harnesses and out of the car I was on a mission to get to the other driver. The lord was with me and two big boys repeatedly stopped me from what I REALLY wanted to do. At least I have many friends and some are County Officers who were on seen and they saw to it that he got a tox. test for me. He now stands charges of DUI, 3 counts of assault, and 1 felony charge. My thoughts for him are not good after what his decision to drive meant to my parents!

OK, done with that rant...sorry to eat up bandwidth!!
Best to all,
Greg

Greg, I shoot nothing but JPG only in 99.99% cases, and I am OK with that.

The first little pijunlet is exceptionally nice, a real winner. I guess the next challenge is to get him out in a less busy spot. Then we'll start calling ya "rxgolfmaster", because the pictures will be so good.

Similarly with the cardinal...very nicely photographed, just a bit of too much congestion around him.

All in all, those I think are fine shots, and you know what you need to do to make them even finer.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to encourage others. Honestly having someone as yourself who post stellar shot after stellar shot give a little direction makes my night! I think that I will keep trying JPEG for awhile :-))
Sincere thanks for the kind words and I look forward as always to seeing more of your work!
Greg

No problem Greg, with a gentleman like yourself I feel privileged to help as much as I can.
As far as JPG vs. RAW goes, there are times when as an insurance I turn RAW format on as well, typically when the ambient light is very low or its quality could cause trouble. The RAW format has more image file adjustment and recovery leeway than JPGs. The other factor of importance is that I work hard on getting the exposure right with my camera, therefore I seldom need to do much photoshop adjustment on my JPG files, and that's what makes my almost exclusive reliance on JPGs adequate for my needs.

In the end, whatever format suits us better, that is what we should follow, because once the camera/lens work is done right, the postprocessing work should be real easy and not that critical for the final product quality.

At any rate, that's the way I see it.

Shooting in Raw has many more advantages then getting your exposure right in Camera.

True as I have not shot a frame in JPEG for more years than I can remember. But, if one were to make a decision on outcomes I sure could not make a case against JPEG's looking at the work of PetKal. I would be very happy with his outcomes all day long!!
