A long-time Adobe user, I have just started toying with Capture One 9.0. I'm enjoying it more and more, however I'm definitely just barely scratching the surface. One thing's for sure, I'm impressed by the accuracy of warm colors and tones with my NEF files. Adobe has always been very disappointing in that regard.

I am, however, finding C1 to be rather limited in certain other regards, one of them being web sharpening. ;-)

So, here's a set of Poppy images from my Lost Coast backpacking trip this past May. Your comments and input are greatly appreciated!

Hey Matt,

That must have been a fun trip. #3 and 4 are my favorites of this group.

I have also heard great things about C1 and will give it a whirl soon. I can see what you mean by your sharpening challenges as these are all quite unsharp and look to be out of focus.

Thought the same. Nice comps, but the sharpness is definitely missing from these.

Thanks guys. I'll continue to play around. Can someone remind me again what the general consensus is on PS resizing / sharpening for web? I've gotten lazy over the years with Lightroom's half-decent "screen" sharpening option, and I've lost all my Photoshop Actions that I used to have years ago... Your input would greatly be appreciated!

Hi all, thanks for the replies! Instead of outputting direct from Capture One, I've gone into Photoshop for more controlled resizing and sharpening. Let me know what you think!

The photoshop versions are much better. More accurate colors, less "blown out" colors and whites.

Thanks for the feedback! They're not over-sharpened, or artifacted? I personally like the level of sharpness, but it's a new recipe that I haven't shared with the public before...
