I'm not one that enjoys being looked down upon but in some cases I'll make an exception and this was one....what a condescending look by this GHO who first attempted to poop on me but missed.

Well, I started to say the GHO must be a member of Congress, but since it missed, I'm not so sure.

I know all about dodging poop as in Haines we had to watch above us all the time. I've been hit every year I've gone!! Love the look this owl is giving you.

We might have a meaty discussion about the merits of eagle vs. owl poop...one is probably very fishy smelling and the other has rather ratty, mousey, rodential nose to its odor.

That is a pretty amazing shot.....and if we continue to anthropomorphize, I think she is telling ya: " Beat it buster, I don't want you standing under my tree and poking that lens at me."

I wouldn't doubt for a minute that I got a shot past my bow...but she's an old lady and knows full well I haven't a chance to do her any harm...having said that, I spent less than 30 seconds in that area...any stress is too much and getting out of her flight v fight zone was the right thing to do.
