nice shot but the haze behind the tree creates an odd effect. Since it is only behind the tree it makes it look a bit odd. I know its likely not due to editing but it gives it a bit of the halo effect.

Thanks for the feedback. The sun was setting towards the right side of the frame which made it brighter than the left side. I preferred to leave it alone when post-processing.

So beautiful. Do you merge your bracketed shots as hdr or do you do another type of exposure blending?

Amazing shot and I like the perspective. The people on the ridge give you an idea of scale. Had to blow up the image to realize they were actually there. Truly an amazing place.

That's one sweet view, Fred.
I read through the technical aspect involved in taking this photograph, yet have to confess it is way beyond my understanding My 'old' 5D died last year, and I kind of miss its simplicity of use (although conveniently forgetting about its limitations, such as DR).

Thanks San!
It's just an easy and quick way for accurate ETTR. It would only work with cameras with zebra exposure function like the Sony A7 series.

Hey Fred,

That is certainly one sweet shot! Love how it almost looks like a painting.

Thank you.
I merged them as HDR in Lightroom. It's easy and effective.
Take care,
Fred

Good eye! This is embarrassing but I just noticed a couple of guys on the ridge.
