Taking time to watch the grass grow, eh Tim? You're showing a real talent for macro shots and have created very compelling images of these subjects. I enjoyed every shot. 1,2,3 and 8 stood out to me, with that little green one in 8 creating such a nice contrast peeking out of the lovely brown forest floor.

Very nicely done, sir! I look forward to part two.

Jim

Fortunately for me these things grow faster than grass I'm honored with your words Jim, thank you so much

You are keeping me on my toes now Tim!
What a lovely set of pics of these much ignored plants. The green one stands out for me because I don't think I have seen one like it before but I enjoyed each and every one and all the different textures and colors.
Martin

I want to keep you guessing Martin! Yeah, the green one is a first for me and at that I only found it by accident! Thanks for the nice words

IDK... I think your lens is front focusing a few microns.

Excellent details and compositions.
1, 2, 3 and 8 for me! Very nice work Tim!

Great shots Tim. A lot at our feet goes unnoticed but you did a great job finding these treasures poking out. Very nice clean shots considering your work environment, all look most natural and much respect for taking them as seen and not modifying the surroundings.
I like them all because I know these were not easy task, great detail and color!

Indeed the forest floor is missed by most. We are usually to intent on getting somewhere to see something to see the stuff that's where are. Geez I hope that makes sense I will reveal an odd technique I did need to employ, for the shots with reflecting water I had to hand hold a polarizer in front of the lens! I guess I need to get a step ring for that lens

Thanks Karl

Tim,

It is difficult to identify most mushrooms from photographs but here are my suggestions:

The second and eighth are Waxcaps Hygrocybe

The fourth is a Parasol of some kind Lepiota or Macrolepiota.

The fifth is probably a Trametes.

The sixth is a Mycena.

The tenth has two species of lichen. The stringy one is a Usnea and the one clinging to the twig looks like a Peltigera but I am far from sure.

Thanks for the ID's Harold. I appreciate the help, now let's see if I can learn anything from it!
