Wow these are eye candy

Could you share your lighting technique in #1 and lens choices for these please. It doesn't look like you do any focus stacking and like to work creatively with DOF.
I like the set, the details in the wasp and fly eye are quite an accomplishment.
Your colors are truly wonderful, what a great set!

Kari - Indeed none of these are focus stacked. Most of these were shot with the mpe-65mm, with the frog being the exception and shot with the canon 100mm. Normally I use a twin flash with modified puffer/omnibounce and LQ promax diffusers, however for the wasp shot I used an off-shoe 580EXII with LQIII softbox and tracing paper.
