I think the 2nd one has the most appeal but it appears over-exposed a bit.

The first is really tilted to the left a lot.

I like #2 as well, but I think I would darken the water a bit.

It was a rather foggy morning. I like the fog. If I darken the water, I am afraid I would reduce the fog in the process. I may not quite follow you. You are welcome to work on this picture. I would appreciate seeing your vision.

Bob, I would use a curves adjustment on a layer. When you select a contrast (light/med,etc), it will darken the shadows tones & lift the highlights a bit. You can tune it too taste.

Bob, Rather than post changed photos, let me offer two modifications you can easily and quickly try to see if you like either. 1,) Using the burn tool set to 30% exposure in PS, run over just the water to darken it a bit. Repeat to taste. (Once seemed enough to me). 2.) Make a layer and do a blending change to soft light, then set opacity to taste. This simply increases contrast.

I like the second technique, but you may feel differently.
