That is a great shot of the moon and the added foliage sure sets the time of season it was taken Morris. There is just enough light on the leaves to not detract from the overall image IMO. I might like to see the moon a little less centered is all. Maybe a hint of noise reduction on the leaves?
Great natural framing, technically a marvelous shot!
Karl
Thank you Karl,
I played with the moon off center and liked it better where it is. The noise on the leaves is because I could not get enough light on them with the flash as I had to stop down so much for DOF and I did not think of upping the ISO as I rushed as the moon moves fast when it's low in the sky. I brightened them in Photoshop and did apply some noise reduction yet did not want to go too far. I felt this level of noise looked better than more blur.

If unique is what you seek...you've succeeded! What a marvelous shot Morris. So cool!
Eric
Thank you Eric,
Unique is what gets noticed and published. When I saw the moon come up and saw those colorful leaves I asked my self what would the moon look like between them. I'd already broken down my gear and was walking out of the park and stopped and set up. As I experimented with different settings I had to keep moving as the moon was rising so fast.

That is wonderful Morris ! I never would have thought about illuminating the leaves with flash !

Thank you Roberta,
I considered light painting them yet was concerned the moon was moving too fast and would blur

Love this one, great vision and execution. It could be a frame out of a Tim Burton movie.

Thank you George,
I knew I could do this. It was a matter of figuring out the settings while the moon came up fast
