August 15th - August 19th, my buddy and I bag-packed into Denali NP. We ate wild blueberries, filtered water from the McKinley river, slept under the northern lights, cooked mountain house meals next to kettle ponds, lakes and on top of knolls with 360 degree panaromas. We saw grizzlies, dall sheep, moose, caribous, a wolf pack and other critters. This was by far one of the most epic experiences of our lives. This forum has allowed me to improve in my photographic skills and therefore given me the opportunity and ability to capture such breathtaking beauty. There were times during our visit in the park, when I didn't take photographs, I was just so content sitting and observing.

Whoa! Sounds like a wonderful experience. Thanks for taking the time to post your images. I enjoyed viewing them and like the look of the sun on the mountains in that first image. At elevation are you in the first photo to get that shot above the clouds?

Great images, especially #1 and #2. A few dust spots on #1 you might want to deal with though

What a great experience. I love your comment about just sitting and enjoying the moment. However, I am glad you took and shared these great images. Images two and three are just fantastic! I really, really like that last image! Great work and composition on that one!

I think many forget that it's the experience that counts. They are so busy trying to take 1,000 snapshots, beating states, regions, locations to death that they don't see the forest for the trees.

The first one is stunning. Easily my favorite of the bunch.

Rohan sounds like a incredible adventure. They are all pretty sweet. I might lose 1/2 the sky above #3 to make the range more prominent it's a pretty stunning view .The light in 1 is awesome. I enjoyed seeing these regards Dean

This was one of reasons I just moved to Alaska. Great pics from an amazing place. Denali NP should be on everyone's bucket list.

Thanks for your appreciation John. I wasn't at a very high elevation when I took that first shot.. Maybe like 5000. The picture was shot with a Sigma 150-600mm lens.

Very nice B&W conversions. I think that #2 could be improved further with adjustments to increase the contrast as it is heavily weighted to midtones and not as strong as a high key image.

You guys are going to have so much fun. Brooks Falls is an amazing adventure: Bears and Salmon

. My trip started in Anchorage > Chugach > Whittier > Seward > Russian River Falls > Kenai > Homer > Anchorage > Hatcher's pass > Denali NP. and some spur of the moment detours.

Unfortunately I don't have a color of #2.
