Hi Sasha,
#5 is the winner in my thinking followed by #3, #1 and #2. I would have to say that the first 3 are all good and hard to rank (not a bad problem!) - but #5 gives me more of a complete picture.
Dave
Dave, thank you for the feedback! I have one more that is similar to #5, will post later, hope you'll like it.

They are all good. I prefer #2 and #4 but #1 is also very nice. #2 has a very nice balance in it's composition and #4 has bit more color variety and contrast.
Your technique looks spot on. Lovely color. Like that you have been quite judicious in your processing and have some rich midtones and not resorted to oversaturating the highlights and crushing the shadows. Overall a very pleasing tone curve. Really helps showcase the variety of colors and textures present in the subway.
The different compositions really give a good idea of how the place really is.
Thank you very much! When processing, I was trying not to fall in a trap of higher contrast and saturation. In the latest update, I increased contrast just a bit per Ben Horne suggestion, but overall, the light was soft and I could see lots of details in a cave, that's what I was trying to translate in a processing.
As about showcase... guess I am a speedy shooter, so while the group was concentrating on composition #2, I already photographed everything else, including the back with all the cool reflections, got bored and anxious, and went downstream to photograph waterfalls

Hey Sasha,
Good job on getting back to the Subway, that's not an easy hike.
#2 and 5 are my favorites. I also like #3, but I think if you cropped just a bit off the bottom so that the straight lead in to that bottom pool is gone, and all that is seen is that the pool is a circular shape, it would benefit that image.
Jim
Jim, thank you for the comment! Yes, this hike is not easy. In fact, not the hike to go on alone, especially for the first time. I cropped #3 per your suggestion, see if you like it now.

Sasha,
Glad to see you back posting. Some very nice shots. #1, #3 & #5 get my vote. Really like #5 Back in the day did a lot of Photog. in Zion but never got to The Subway. Really neat looking place though.
hope you have more to post.
Jon, yes, I am back to posting to the board. Although I was posting all that time in Facebook - you can add me in if you like. It is a bit more interactive although no in-depth analysis like here. And yes, I have more to show

I'm just glad you found your way back to the car!
Greg, yes, me too! All but two people in a group were straight from Russia, and did not realize how quickly it gets dark in Southwest. So we ended up hiking under moonlight. I still remember two glowing eyes staring back at me from the tree - most likely, an owl.

Subway is definitely one of my favorite locations -- partially because of the wonderful payoff after such a long and grueling hike. You've captured the various angles of subway very well. My only suggestion would be to bring back the dark tones. You've recovered so much detail from the shadows that the shadows have now become mid tone, and one of the wonderful things about Subway is the beautiful rich dark tone, and how it highlights the wonderful glows. Don't be afraid of dark tone, it provides a sense of mystery, and looks beautiful in print.
Ben, thank you for the suggestion! I see what you mean, and adjusted the photos a bit, please see if you like it more. But please also keep in mind that most people get to Subway either late morning or early afternoon, while my pictures were taken in the late afternoon, so light was soft and subdued.
All, thank you for the comments, please keep them coming!
Sasha.
