I like the detail of the second better yet seeing the complete flower in the first is my preference for that Geroge

Thank you Morris. Going over the many shots I took of these flowers, I am finding it is hard to get the exposure right for these reds/oranges in camera. But they seem to come out ok in post processing.

Beautiful flowers George...not easy to control the reds and you managed that quite well especially in the second...I bet a little tweaking of the saturation of the red channel in the first will bring out a bit more detail....I do like the curve of the flower in the first.

Like bright white, you need to do some exposure compensation for red or orange which has a lot of red. Not as much as for white

I like the edited version better. I also like #2 but that bit of leaf in the bottom right distracts me. Clone it out?
