This is a great moment to capture. I just hate it when my subjects get photo-bombed by rocks

In all seriousness - how were you able to see this coming - it looks like they came from behind the rocks.

thanks everyone

Gero - saw the mom came in/out below the cliffs. She was out in the open just long enough to lock focus and press the shutter. I just squeezed and followed through in less than 2 seconds. Out of 15 or so shots, got 4 where I can see her. The actual exchange took place below the cliffs.

thanks for the explanation. We sometimes have to take what we can get, and the rocks give a setting to the action. Very cool shot and I only wish I could get that close to some peregrines, let a lone one
