Beautiful shots Thang. Awesome behavior set of the young ones riding on top. I hope to see this species myself sometime.
Thanks Herb. They seem to be on a fairly regular schedule now. this is the 3rd year in a row we have at least one successful nesting.

You just nail these guys every time!!! That last image is fantastic. I might crop a bit tighter and definitely put it on a wall!!!! When did you take these?
Don
Sent you a PM Don. All were taken last Saturday morning before the crowd took over. The day after the last egg hatched. The first egg hatched on Thurs.

Superb Thang, and man am I jealous!! These are all sweet but my two picks would be the fish on the parent and the eager looks of the young ones in the last.
Tim
Thanks Tim. Believe it or not, it was your shots of either the Eared or Horned Grebe families few years back that inspired me for these photos. Tried to get as low as I could but still not at water-level yet.

Thanks Tam. Oh yeah, and I still had to crop quite a bit in PP.

Wonderful set, Thang. Nice work handling the whites and blacks. They are all well done and very enjoyable to view. Well done!
Jim
Thanks Jim. Wished that I could have done a better job with the exposure in some of these, especially the last shot.

Super cute. You captured some very touching moments here. 600/2x/7D2 is some serious reach!
Thanks Dorian. Even at 1920mm, I still had to crop in PP. Here is an uncropped image of the first shot.

You managed to capture some wonderful moments that are all too fleeting...reminds me of those days when mine were so young.
Eric
Thanks Eric! I read a saying recently "The days are long, but the years are short." And I think this applies perfectly to raising kids!
