This video newbie would appreciate confirmation that the following card will work with my pre-ordered Sony a7Rii to accomplish 4k video at the highest 100 Mbps bit rate.

Anyone in England with delivered a7Rii have success (or failure) with this card?

The price seems very reasonable ($28.15), which has a "seems too good to be true smell", so I thought I would check.

There are faster cards (Sandisk, Samsung, Lexar, probably other Sonys) but 70MB/s is still quite a bit faster than the 100Mbps/8 = 12MB/s needed for the A7R II for 4k video.

Thanks for the find, looks like it's on sale. Looks like I'll be picking up a few in preparation.

That card looks to be on sale - nice find! 70 MB/s writes is more than fast enough for internal 4K, which is only 100Mbps (~12.5 MB/s). What's more important is the "minimum" sustained write speed, which is needed to avoid frame dropouts. That's where the U3 designation of this card comes in and why Sony cameras wont let you use U1 cards for 4K video; U3 spec's a minimum write speed of 30 MB/s vs only 10 MB/s for U1. See the Wikipedia description here.

Ordered 3 of these. 2 for the upcoming a7rii and one for my a6000 which won't let me record to XAVC-S because I don't have a SDXC card.

Curious how these worked. I was very disheartened to see that my 90MB/s PNY Elite Pro cards, which are Class 100, UHS-I labeled (and in my speed tests perform very close to their rated speed), are not seen by the A7R II as compatible for 4K shooting. Even at the 60Mb/s rating, it gives me an error of 'Cannot record - please use a Class 10 or UHS-I rated card. 100Mb/s requires UHS-3. Apparently, I'm going to have to buy a new card to review the video on this thing.

Argh.....

Is it a 64GB or higher card? Apparently memory card speed doesn't matter, it has to be SDXC or higher which starts at 64GB.

I'm having no issues with the 3 that I ordered, of course it's still relatively early.

No, 32GB. Why the heck does it have to be 64GB? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Look, I know 4K video is going to take up a lot of space, but 32GB at 60Mbps is still 71 minutes of recording time.

No clue, I thought it was stupid myself as well. But the manual states SDXC only.

Sucks for 100mbps 4k I have to upgrade all my 90MB/s 64gb SDXC UHS-1 cards that I bought for the A7s to U3. But the flip side is there's a killer deal on 256gb PNY cards.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1164632-REG/pny_technologies_p_sdx256u395_ge_256gb_elite_sdxc_uhs_1_card.html

265gb for under $100! Crazy. I've been using the 64gb 90MB/s PNY cards since getting the A7s last year and they've been great. I have two of the 256gb cards on order.

It feels like we're getting close to having cards cheap enough to where we can carry 10 of them for travel storage instead of a portable HD.

Just bought a Kingston 64Gb 45MB/S card....at 21. Writing speed is indeed only 41MB/s on my PC so...good enough for all Sony cameras.
