About five years ago we drove south on the Oregon coast and stopped at Cape Perpetua but didn't know that Thor's Well even existed. Now will have to go back and check it out.

Beautiful. Love the dynamics, colour and shutter speed.

I wonder if you took any shots from slightly to the right - no mountain just more of the sunrise/sunset ?

As a youngster I went there often had friends with a cabin nearby.

Thanks for the great pic and spurring my memory. Wonderful place and great capture it is so hard to describe that to people.

@Frogfish, yeah, I actually do have one, but I have a few of those in my portfolio so I was going for something a little different.

I did return to this spot yesterday evening and saw some of the best conditions I've seen here, so you'll be seeing another shot eventually!

Very nicely done. I have been there and wish I had been shooting more north like you did here instead of west as I did. I really like the shutter speed and the fact that you show it in drain mode. Too many people show it when it is nearly full and has lots of splash, that is not what this is about.

But most of all you have great light and great composition. Very well done and the best one I have seen from here.
