I was searching for a raw processor that has deconvolution sharpening and decided to try Raw Therapee. it is far more advanced than i would have imagined for a creative commons offering and have been burying myself in digesting the online manual.
This is the first image I have finally worked up and am really liking the tools available, especially the wavelets. The wavelets are a pixel radius based adjustment tool that has some very interesting effects.
Anyhow I really like the dimensional rendering I am able to get.
Has anybody else tried RT?
This is a very nice looking shot. It looks like the conversion went well for you. I haven't tried Raw Therapee but have heard about it for years. It's funny, but I was actually thinking about trying the DXO raw converter since I have heard good things about it. So what was your raw converter, ACR?
I use Phocus for thr H3DII and C1 for the Nikon. I have tried DXO which really renders nice but seems to put a lot of structure or local contrast in the conversion. RT is tough to figure out compared to ACR which is very streamlined but does not have nearly as many options for adjustments.
RT is unfortunately global in all of its adjustments but then It does have the wavelets.
