At least 1000 of these guys were in a single bay in Haines AK. They didn't want to come too close to me but I still managed a few decent shots of them.

You do make it look easy Geoff....my philosophy is to wait until they land and then get the birds in water shots.

Another well done set Geoff. I sure would like to see any type of scoter up close and personal. 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10 stand out ~ Ron

Nice shots! I've never been able to get close enough to get good shots of scoters, even at 600mm. Well done.

Thanks. I would have loved to have had my 600II with TCs there but I didn't bring it. 600mm was barely cutting it.
