Was working on a commercial down in the keys earlier this week and took my bike in order to me easily explore Pigeon Key and the old 7 Mile Bridge which is the longest bridge in the Keys Overseas highway .
Unfortunately Pigeon key is only now accessible ferry or private boat , so my long bike ride on the old 7 Mile bridge was for not . Really cool nonetheless to see the old bridge again , I remember as a kid going to to Key West for fishing trips and the harrowing memories of having to cross that very narrow bridge at night with upcoming traffic the other way .
Thanks for looking , and man I do love the Keys .
On this one you can still the supports that were originally from Henry Flaglers overseas train , which was destroyed by a hurricane in 1932 , they just built the highway using existing supports .
