This passed weekend was my first real outing with my "new to me" Canon 17-85IS. We went to the Zoo and this was the best "landscape" I snapped. Had to crush the shadows to hold it together under the bridge to keep the noise down after some light HDR in post.

Lovely, lovely photo, Aaron! I particularly love the little touch of reflection in the water on the other side of the bridge.

Thanks Endre! It's funny how sometimes we don't notice little details like that until after we have taken the shot. It's been a couple of years since I've taken any landscape type shots, but this one seemed to work out ok. I would have preferred wider....but surroundings just didn't seem like they would be ideal. I processed it on the laptop and had to trust the histogram in LR. New body, new lens, but really need to clean my desk off to work on a calibrated monitor.
