With thousands of terns now at Nickerson Beach in what appears to be two colonies the opportunities are endless. It was a fogy morning when I took these.

All: D300 + Sigma 150-600 Sport at 600mm, ISO 800, 1/800, f6.3, fill flash (Metz 64 + JJC flash extender)

This is a wonderful time of year hear and I'm jumping on the opportunities. Having the longer lens is helping though I used to use a 1.4x with the 80-400 VR

All of them are superb! Something about the composition in #2 makes it stand out to me. The first shows the elegance of the terns.

Beautiful work Morris, I love the symmetry that seems inherent with these birds (and your Oystercatchers). #2 works for me based on the shared pose and wing placement, lovely light and setting too.
