Purchased the Nikon 14-24mm with the Novoflex adapter to use with my Canon 5dMkII. What an awesome lens, but it is quite a pain to use in all manual mode. Love the output though. Here is a shot from last night.

I think you will enjoy the lens. When you need to go wide, it does a great job (at least I've been very happy with it). From this image, it looks like you're going to have a lot of fun.

Wonderful image. Beautiful color and light. And nicely composed and exposed.

The horizon appears to be sloping down to the right slightly.

I had the combo and the lens is a great lens
I will share my experience, that I far and away prefer the 16-35 f4 IS. If the initial reports hold up to be true on the tamron 15-30 2.8 VC, I would also seriously consider that.

Very nice Sunset composition with a slow shutter for the blur, agree with David, the horizon appears to be sloping down to the right slightly.

This is very beautiful! Your lovely photo makes me want to jump into the waves and splash around while the sun sets! Gorgeous colour in both sky and water, and I love the sinuous flow of the water around the rocks!

Thanks for pointing it out. I had already noticed, but didn't feel it was significant enough to straighten and didn't want to lose any of the foreground.

I always struggle a bit with the "half and half" skies as seen here ... with one side being colorful and the other blue. With that said, it's still pretty to look at. My biggest gripe besides that which was out of your control is that the rocks are bit too crowded for my tastes. I'd really like to see a bit more breathing room ... particularly on the rock to the far left and bottom right. I also find the wave break along bottom right to be a bit too close to the edge, and would prefer water probably a bit further out. Taking a bunch of images during a sunset like this can help a lot with that.

Thanks for the thoughts, but I wanted to be as wide as 14mm. Very impressed with the lens, in spite of having to use it manually.
