troylim,
Nice shot indeed, I'm curious though. Can you tell us more, what lens, on camera flash, distance from subject, shutter speed? Would be interesting to see your setup.
Thanks, keep them coming.

Robert,
This last few shots, I shot with 7D2, 70-200 IS II, nest is about 20ft away, standing on top of the roof. I have two flash setup both are off camera and triggered remotely, lighting position is based on which angle and what type of image I want to get. Since I only have two 600 EX flashes, positioning of those flashes are critical. My friend Mark has been watching this nest since they start sitting, so learning their behavior and how and when they deliver at what interval are crucial and will play in higher rate of success in getting the shots. This pair has been nesting at the same nest box for two years now, they are in a urban neighborhood, they are used to people around. They start feeding shortly after dusk.
As for settings, I usually shoot at 1/250, f/16, ISO1600, with 1Dx that I had last year, I shot as high as ISO3200, then I can lower the flash output. Hope this helps.
