Thanks Rob ! I loved the Snowy against the setting sun but it was very difficult to photograph (for me). If I was focused on the bird - fine, if I was taking a sunset shot - fine, but combining the two was really tough
Love that first eagle owl and you got some great snowy shots in very incredible settings. Great stuff, but that cold.............and I'm from Canada.

Outstanding owls and I love the ponies too -- and the exotic location (by my standards) adds some extra zing. It must have been quite a trip; I'll look at the trip report now. Thanks for showing these!

A very stunning set and variety that was taken by you in off the charts cold temperatures of -58 degrees Fahrenheit and also in the real wild; that said, you get my vote for featured thread of the week BRAVO

It was very cold, so cold that when you blinked tears against the wind they froze on your eye-lashes But I still really enjoyed it - the Arctic clothing makes a huge difference to the enjoyment levels.

Cold it most certainly was, I don't think any day was warmer than -30C but in the blizzard (the 'golden light' shots and 2nd Landscape shot) was the coldest with the local weather report saying -50C. The Arctic clothing and boots worked a treat though (full details in the Trip Report in the link given).
