Love the Blue Jay's blues in 1 and 2. Those rust colored twigs really compliment the blues. The bird is so prominent in #2 that the "busy" background doesn't really bother me. It's pretty well OOF. Your little finch has the dreaded "dead eye" though. Selectively altering the eye with more contrast, or even by selectively sharpening just the eye (which adds contrast) could bring out just enough sparkle to give it life. And I love that brilliant Cardinal with the snowflakes. Just beautiful.
A couple of these have blown whites, mostly in the snow. If you could pull some detail out on those it would make them better. Also, I can definitely tell the Cardinal and both Blue Jay shots have some glint in their eyes, and again, selective adjustment to these eyes would make that reflection in there pop, and bring more interest and eye contact. Compare them to the Robin. I've found, even on much smaller birds in a frame, a sharp clear eye glint makes a big difference. It can also give the illusion a bird is in better focus than it actually is if the eye is sharp. That's a good trick to have in the bag.
Oh, and these really look good for 1600 ISO. You're impressing me with that 7D2. I'm thinking more and more I might get one.
