On the Continental Divide, Wind River Range, Wyoming last May a day after a substantial blizzard. Before capturing this image in the late afternoon, I spent four hours digging my vehicle out of a snowbank and ditch.

it has great drama. Like it a lot. may I suggest applying a red filter to the original color version to darken the sky and see if you like the results?

You certainly earned your image, eh? It is a wonderful image. On my monitor it seems a little OE. If you played with contrast could you enhance the drama?

Hi Alan,

Thanks very much for your comments/suggestions. On my calibrated NEC PA241W monitor, the image is not OE.

Looks like you got stuck on South Pass, from the looks of the shot. Can get pretty nasty up there, especially in the spring!! Nice shot.

Nice caputre, love the clouds in the background. I also appreciate the restraint shown in not pushing the black tones, that may be a little more dramatic but the way you have presented it I think shows up the details just right.
