I've used the RX1 a bit now and I can say it's on a par with using the A7 with the Zeiss 1.4/35. Better bokeh, by which I mean, a nicer transition and cleaner, rounder oof areas. I don't think it's any sharper though. Keep in mind, I'm a relative dilettante. I photographed a cat with really long hair and it was crazy. Everything was blurry and beautiful, but maybe too much. This might be the ultimate portrait camera for people. I've found in the past that supposed superb portrait lenses like the Leica 1.4/80 were not so hot for pets.
