Did anyone manage to catch the temperature Inversion this year? I know many of you shoot out there quite a bit.

Looks like an amazing phenomenon

Very nice Adam!,

Temperature inversions, they come and go... It's one of the rare special things about being a dedicated landscape photographer, once in a while you get a treat others will never experience. Luck, timing... "being there..." You can fly all over the country, you can hire a guide... But there's no guarantee for special phenomena...

Great imaging, Adam.

I wonder what it's like to be down under that stuff?

Hi Jeffrey,

I've chatted with some backpackers and day hikers that weren't too thrilled with the inversion. Most said they would have preferred to have had a view vs. the overcast and what becomes a thick fog as you climb into it.

I've been under the inversion in Canyonlands plenty of times. It's a thick fog, wet, slippery sandstone. Sometimes you can't see 10 feet in front of you. It's not that nice.
