this is a very hard to find lens. This auto focuses with nikon DSLR's with integrated motors. This was used for land surf photography coupled with my d7100, more often than not, it was hand held. It is a sharp lens stopped down and even using 2x teles, still maintains excellent center sharpness. I owned both this and the manual focus SP adaptall 300/2.8 (60B), and although both are spectacular lenses, this one is sharper and shows less fringing at high contrast areas.
this lens is in good condition with some wear on the finish, the front element shows some scuffs that doesn't show in the picture. Lens comes with hood, cap, front element red velvet cover and UV filter that has always sat on the lens. It's probably one of the best cheap bird lenses you can get.

bought this from a FM user, did not fit my housing for surf photography. This is the earlier version with built in metal hood (that's why it didn't fit). I have the new version with removable plastic hood now which i use for my work in the water.
Great lens for crop sensor (dont listen to the ken rockwell crock of crap). Optically, both version of this lens is fast and sharp, accurate and fast AF. This particular one is very mint with only slight wear on the finish of the hood. It's a must have for landscape, look at the reviews.
280 includes shipping, and paypal fees, just trying to get back what i paid for. |
