Here is a picture of the overall setup:
Behind the right eye is a plastic "gemstone" kind of thing with lots of facets.
The laser light is from a handyman's laser level tool that is suspended from the clamp on the table to the right
The light from the laser hits the top "pointy" part of the plastic gem and makes the iris-like circle
There is a black-light in the clamp light that give the overall blueish tint to the picture.
The large lens that I am holding on the left side of the head is the lens from a magnifying glass
