Hello Fellow FMers. The following images of red-tailed tropicbirds were taken at the Kīlauea Point National Wildlife Refuge back in June.

1. Fly By

2. Dancing In The Air - Flying backwards as part of the mating ritual.

3. Too Close! (cropped to vertical, but otherwise 100% of the bird that was on the sensor is included here)

4. Back Lit Bird

Bonus: Na Pali Coast - View from a lookout at the end of the Wimea Canyon drive (highway 550).

Bricks and/or bouquets welcome.

With the polar vortex about to hit, Hawaii sounds awesome right about now.....some super shots Ken.

Hi Don. Yes, I took a number of shots of the mid-air dancing. Not always successfully mind you.

Very nice, Ken.
The red tail grabbed my attention. Cool IF shots and close-up.

And I do like the landscape bonus a lot. Pretty amazing view and layers.

A wonderful series of shots there, Ken!

Managed to get a few shots of these when I went to Lord Howe Island in 2012, such beautiful birds.
