Some more Blue Ridge Mt color. Now some people have commented on my past images of the Blue Ridge Mts as having a "bluish cast".
Same with a few other poster's posts, especially those from the NC area...well I stated that "this is the way the area looks". Doh!!!! IT IS CALLED THE BLUE RIDGE for a reason right Don

Thanks for looking!! C&C always encouraged. JimF...this is the same shot area you helped me on a few days ago but I took it( when I shot it ) closer to the fg and right more. Now I left the sky larger because of the dramatic dark and light cloud action.

#2..Now I know many of you won't like this image because of fg tree, exposure and so on but I liked it because of the sun's rays thru the clouds. I tried b/w but haven't found the right combo to make it pop..Feel free to play and advise.

I always like to shoot the rays of light through ANYTHING! Make them more pronounced! Nice going, Dan.

Nice mountain scenes!
Hmmm, the blue ridge looks.... blue? lol
They definitely have that haze to them.

Thanks David! Yeah ya know...when Don told me that and what his father told him about the Native American name for them, It was both a light bulb going off in my head AND the sledgehammer hitting it to awake me!!!

Hey Dan,

#1 is a really cool shot. Love the color, the composition, very well done there.

Now with #2, if you knew people would probably say something about the tree in the bottom, why didn't you move and get a composition without the tree....

The rays in the shot are awesome...but yeah... that tree ends up hurting the shot.

These are really nice. Love the colors in #1. The light rays through the clouds are cool.

Dan, nice ones and still regret not pulling over getting a shot coming back down BRP from Linville Falls last year when I saw an awesome display of God beams in late sky.

Yeah I have that same regret Don..much to often. I am retired so I have no time excuse!!! Just lazy I guess!!!
Thanks for the "shout out". Yeah this was one of only 2 wide catures in about a 5 minute span. The others are single or maybe just 2 rays. Tis was at sklyline drive, NC end near the the mountain tunnel. Now I don't know if they have more than 1 but that was where.
