Resurrection of this thread! I picked up a D750 and 50/1.8G today...sort of as a throwback and to actually try some Nikon gear for once, after 20 years with everyone else. I haven't shot with it much, but it's a nice camera, and I was surprised by how nice the rendering on the 50/1.8 is, even if it isn't the sharpest thing in the world.
