Thanks for your help with the explanation of what Room 101 refers to, Rick. I realized when I decided on this entry that we live in an age where 1984 may no longer be that familiar to most people. (Although I personally find that hard to believe).

by the way-'Darkness on the Edge of Town" is a very well done entry.

by the way-'Darkness on the Edge of Town" is a very well done entry.

Thanks. The two most influential novels I've read are "1984" and John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath." Both taught me years ago to see the world with fresh eyes.
