Was out taking sunset photos and the colors never appeared so I pulled out my 58mm and started shooting some shallow depth of field on a dock. Got really close to the water to get some nice foreground blur and shot at F1.4 to give as shallow a depth of field as possible.

Kind of liked the way this image turned out.

An interesting shot, not your usual dock shot that's for sure! I pretty much never think of limited DOF when I shoot, so it's nice to see something different. I am sure I would never shoot a shot this way, but I think it's cool, and I do like the creativity.

Very Nice creativity....I too Like everything about this (DOF, lighting, creativity,) but it could be a wall hanger had the subject been a duck standing on the dock and not a tire.
