David, I searched high, I searched low, I searched woods, open land and not a pine marten to be found....but these my friend are drop dead gorgeous and I would have been in heaven just to see let alone get even one shot like these. What a beautiful set

the US has a different species - very shy & hard to see; not too many of them either
David - was this animal shy, secretive when you tried to photograph it?
rw, thanks for stopping by. We were lucky enough to have a family of Pine Martens close to us. We didn't see much of the male. We saw the female (and mother) a good number of times and each time she appeared she stood up on her hind legs to check out the place (for predators ?) before she moved closer. Once mum was in the kits followed, (photos to come). They were certainly skittish and very cautious but I wouldn't have said secretive.

David, these are awesome. #5 takes the prize for me. Reminds of a pose of a bear cub in a tree. What a great expression as well. Excellent, excellent work finding, and successfully photographing them.

Great stuff David, they look a bit different than the ones we have here. I'll have to post some from my area.
