My three year old decided today that he didnt need floaties. I now have a three year old that swims.

One of the milestones of life. Good action shot and I see you have all the witnesses of the event in the frame too. Well done.

Awesome capture, and good on you for teaching him to swim. There are far too many water-related incidents that have sad endings, so teaching kids to swim is right up there with car seats & vaccinations IMO.

Exceptional capture, Chuck. Composition, timing, each of the three expressions... really sweet shot buddy.

+1,000,000, John.

We had a swimming pool close call with my son. Total momentary distraction (read: negligence) on the part of four adults - my ex-wife and I included.

Over 25 years later I still literally get nauseous when I think of it. I'll never get over knowing what could have happened. If the worst had, it would have completely undone me.

Sorry for the slight derail, Chuck. Again, great shot.

Thanks all. His progress has been exponential. We've been in the pool for 4 days since then. He's now swimming under water and using his arms to propel himself. I'm truly amazed by his progress.

Really like this shot, Chuck! Love that he's jumping to his mother, and a brother is in the background watching.

What really sets this pic apart from your other shots of your boys is the action. Your boys don't usually jump around or get crazy or anything.
