Eastern Washington is a favorite place of mine to go fishing and shooting wildlife and I found the best of both this past weekend. Fishing was great with some very nice rainbows and the bird shooting was equally as good. I shot most of these birds on my way into a lake I like to fly fish.

A very nice collection of images Louie. You opener is the one I'd pick as best of show. Love the bedraggled look, and the colour coordination between the bird and the lichen.

Thank you Collett,, I love shooting over in eastern Washington because you always seem to get the nice creamy backgrounds.

Thanks Tim and I did hook a few real keeper on the fish side but it was a catch and release lake.

If you were half as successful fishing as shooting I would say it was a great time!

Thanks Eric I appreciate your comments. Actually the fishing was super, picture fly fishing in a lake with no other float tubes around and you are catching 18" rainbows. All I have to do is catch a couple of those and I call it a super day of fishing.
