It is a beautiful scene, love the sky, but it needs a bit more PP to spring it to life, such as contrast, shadow/highlight adjustment, & saturation, maybe warming up a bit, too. All of it can be done in ACR.
For red rock glow at sunset, "keeping subtle" is not an option
I suggest saturating only orange and yellow, and making yellow tones lighter (best when done in ACR). This will bring the natural sunshine back.

Nice shot! For my taste, the dark grays in the sky are too dark. I would 1) get rid of those really dark patches in the clouds, and 2) crop most of the bottom red rock out for what would be a more pleasing composition to my eye. Cheers!
I think your composition works, but the processing is too strong -- and by that I mean that you have pushed the shadows VERY far to the point where they are no longer dark, and the highlights go a bit grayish. This is especially apparent in there area where the mountains meet the sky. There is a bright halo there which is where the over recovered highlights meet the over filled shadows. I'd day back off on the shadow and highlight recovery, and let some of the true contrast in this scene help to build a sense of depth. The side lighting is wonderful, and I think it would stand out more with some nice rich shadows.
