I tried doing several searches on the forum for shots in these places but haven't come up with anything. I would love to see some fellow FM work from these areas!
Here is a few that I have posted before. All are in GSMNP and from earlier this spring. The Tremont area is literally right next door to Cades Cove, although I didn't make it to Cades Cove. Steve Perry has some that he has taken on his website. There are others.
I live so close to GSMNP but seldom go into the Park because there are equally nice places without the crowds. It is an amazing place though and a tremendous resource. Here are a few shots I took this year, off-season.
Here are two from Cades Cove that have yet to see the light of day... Wish the Sun had reared its ugly head when I went but you make due with what you got. Taken in February 2012.
Here are a couple early morning shots from Clingman's Dome. They are my attempts at recreating iconic Smoky Mountain mountaintop landscapes.
This is my first post here in the Landscape forum but I thought I'd post these for feedback. I still have a bunch more images to process from our trip there last April. Most of my shots were landscapes while in GSMNP. Please feel free to comment and advise.
Stan, I really enjoyed your gallery! I really should make the trip to GSMNP more often... I'm not crazy about the crowds but I have found that the best times to take pictures are usually the least crowded .
