p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Monument Valley Photo - 3 different ways

This is a continuation of a conversation about some other photos that I've posted from a trip to Monument Valley and some photos I took one morning at the hotel in the park. This is one photo, first the original as taken by my Canon Rebel XTi, with a EOS 17-40mm F/4 L lens. Using Lightroom 5, I turned it to B&W, no further alterations. The next photo after that, substantial alterations.

While one would argue it should be in the B&W section, this is a really a continuation of two previous posts, in which someone suggested converting the other photos into B&W to see how it changes the perspective of the photo.
Bill

As taken, no alterations.

Simple conversion to B&W with Lightroom 5.0

Substantial alerations with Lightroom 5, adding light to the bottom of the photo and enhancing the starburst

I like the first photo best.

Which hotel you are staying?

Best,
Dan

I actually like #1 the best as well. I am often guilty of post processing my shadows to death but your first image reminds me that sometimes a silhouette can really work well.
