Finally spent some time in Capitol Reef National Park last week
On Saturday morning I left Torrey early enough to drive over to the Cathedral Valley and start my day at the Temple of the Sun.

Very nicely done at the Cathedral Valley. Good composition and color. Setting moon adds the mood.

Pretty nice Bob.
I actually like the classic image best; number 1.

Pedantically I ask, are you sure this wasn't Friday morning though? It's sheer coincidence but I was out camping Friday night so Saturday morning I took several moon shots simply because it was so clear and crisp up there. It's funny, but your moon looks fuller than the one I was photographing up in the La Sals Saturday morning... It's not important, just an observation I'd normally never make...

I would never have noticed, except I was watching it all Saturday morning from dawn on as it crossed over the La Sals because it was so amazing....

Hey Bob,

Nice work here. I am liking #2 the best here. Since the moon is a central point of the shot it's nice to have it big enough to see some detail on it.

All are beautifully composed and executed, hard to decide on favorite... maybe 2, love the sky, moon, and crisp lines of the rock.

Those are beautiful! First time I hear of this park, believe it or not. Now I've added it to my list of places to visit.
I think #1 is my favorite.
