"Rainbow Chamber" Utah

Here is a revision of an image I posted some time back. It is both exposure bracketed for dynamic range, as well as a 16 shot depth of field bracket (for maximum print detail).

In my YouTube video I describe my approach and general thoughts to shooting slot canyons, about 30 minutes before this shot was taken:

i recently tried a focus stack.... so i have huge respect for this image. that stuff takes patience

This capture is truly amazing, the leading lines, the colors, the textures and execution do a great job!
The only minor thing that kinda bothers me is a footprint just above your signature...

Excellent job on this. I love the composition, and don't see a footprint. Maybe you already cloned it.

This is awesome Mark. The comp and details are of course perfect. I don't think people realize how tough these slots are to photograph. Even a shot taken at f22 wouldn't get more then a couple inches of the closest rocks in perfect focus.

Why didnt you bend down and blow some of the footprints away? I did that a couple times at a lot of different SW locations, and used my lens rocket too to try and hide them haha

Nicely done here. I don't totally recall the look of the original edit, but this edit looks great. I like the more subdued feel of the colors.

Nice shot. I haven't been in this particular canyon, but it's on my list. I love how the rock takes on completely different hues depending on what the light is doing. One of these days I am going to do a time lapse video in a slot canyon, I think that could be really interesting seeing the light shift over time.

We need some sort of photographer time share thing. Where we can all switch places with each other every 6 months.

There is a strange deep blue streak next to the ground and the left wall near the bottom that seems out of place.

Wow, I mistook the rock texture in the shadows for noise when I first looked at the image. That is some great detail. Very, very nice picture.

Sweet image Mark - love the comp and detail. Honestly not to sure about the color (I keep going back and forth), but it's growing on me - pretty wild.

Too tell you the truth, it was prob too dark to notice them. It is not an actual foot print, but the indication of walking in there. Next time!

And yes, these shots are not easy!
