p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Grand Canyon at Dusk

On our trip to the Grand Canyon, my wife and I hiked down the South Kaibab trail to Ooh-Aah point, and then returned at dusk. This photo was shot just after the sun had dipped completely, and I enjoyed the contrast between the colors.

Tech: Facing west-ish at dusk, 5D3, 24-70f4is @f/9.0, ISO 100, .9 GND.

Hey Evan,

Pretty cool looking shot here. I think I would perhaps warm it up just a little more. But I do know that the canyon can take on a blue cast as the sun fades, just a little less for my taste.

Evan, I like the grand canyon picture of yours here. I also was going to hike down the South Kaibab trail to Ooh-Aah point last time but didn't. I am glad to see the photo you took there. I somehow like the blue tone on the mountain.. but most people seem to mention to get the blue cast out of.. Thanks for sharing, my neighbor!
