My last visit to the graceful Bryce Canyon with my friend Christine was such a busy and joyful journey, to say the least.

Much anticipating Thor's Hammer at the sunrise from the Sunset Point was also such a thrilling experience.

These two shots taken behind this nameless geological feature which is a few hundred feet north of the Thor's Hammer revealed a nice color sprayed in the sky from the sun which was not yet out for the day.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the crispy morning scene at the Bryce Canyon National Park.

I think the first image is very interesting and graphic. For me I might consider trimming a bit off the bottom to maybe a 5x7 or 8x10 crop, balancing the amount of black at the bottom better with the blue up top.

Hey Kee, #2 is very nice! It's a fresh perspective from an area where that's hard to do. You have also controlled the shadows very well; they are dark but I still see detail everywhere. I like the silhouette and graphic feel of #1, but I think the background mountains could be improved a bit. There is a pretty strong cyan cast at the top of the mountains that turns green as it gets lower in the frame. I think if you could make that look the same as the distant mountains/canyons in #2, you'll have two really nice images.

Thanks Evan for your suggestions. Rather than trimming the lower portion, I re-edited the photos to match the two somewhat similar color. When i viewed the photos with my newly acquired NEC computer recently calibrated.. the dark area showed more detailed images. Also the color.. better. Cheers!

Prefer #1, but reworked version removed nice sky. I'd say, let the sky stay but reduce yellow in the land portion.

Sasha.

Nice concept and image, Kee. The first one is nice, you can lose the second one.
