Spend a very peaceful evening on a cliff, waiting for the sunlight to fade away. There was a narrow crescent moon bright enough for the moon-shadows to form.
Obvious light pollution from the South Rim (most likely) was an unpleasant surprise.
The two pictures below were taken from the same position but at slightly different time, and have been processed a bit differently. However, the difference in saturation is not because of processing but rather due to darker sky in #2. Camera/lens used: OM-D E-M5 with M.Zuiko 12mm f/2.0.
Each picture is a combo of two frames, the canyon was shot with smaller aperture and longer exposure.
No noise filter other than in-camera was used (yes, Olympus sensor improved A LOT).
The bright dot in a canyon is from boater's camp, I cloned it out in #2, but in fact, like it, and would rather leave it in, think it adds scale to the shot.
Would be greatful for responses including critique, and also which one -#1 or #2 -is preferred.
