It has been a great season with Screech Owls. I have been fortunate enough to have photographed several nests this year. They started nesting as early as December and I still have a two more nests. This is by far the best cavity that I have ever photographed.

That is very good camouflage! I am still having difficulty tracking a Bubo Virginianus. At night I hear them all the time, but it is next to impossible to photograph them even with a telephoto and 100,000 ISO. During the day, I have no idea where they perch / nest.

Look for cavity in a tree...they don't have a big territory, so they are around. I know of two pairs on a single street about 50 yards apart.
