Just a hobbyist here, but I had to show a few from this past weekend with my new lens. I picked up a used Sigma 35mm 1.4 last week for my D7000 and it hasn't been off my camera since! I've never been this "wowed" by any other camera purchase before. Just sharp and beautiful pics...

My aunt turned 85 yesterday and it isn't often that our entire family (we're all farmers by trade) gets dressed up for a nice occasion. Take a look and C&C are always welcome. I want to get better with the camera!! (all pics were touched up in LR5)

thanks for the replies. As far as LR5, I like utilizing the onOne presets (free from their website) as a starting point for some of the pictures and tweaking them as necessary. Most of them, however, are basic crop/contrast/highlight/exposure/sharpening adjustments. I may have pushed it a bit too far with some, but I do like the look. Thanks, Mike

Very nice. I like the toning and they are perfectly contrasty and sharp.

Great shots!

I don't think this lens can compete with the Zeiss 35, (for bokeh quality and 3D effect) but it's close, it's really sharp, and it does have great colors and a lovely drawing style. And for the price, unbeatable.

I wish they made a MF version of this lens. It would be cheaper, and have a better MF helicoid. Mmmmm ...

Nice series overall. The lawn chess shot hampered a bit by the foliage - perhaps a shot from a bit to the left would have been better, but still a nice image.
