Nice shot, good softish lighting. Nice pose.

For a brass player, I think I would prefer some stronger lighting ... although that my depend if she is in the jazz vs. classical genre of music. Brass musicians seem a little more fierce to me

The trumpet is a very difficult instrument for a beautiful woman to pose with. She's also a beauty queen (no joke) so, getting her to turn off the smile was a goal.

All good, except for (maybe) cutting off the bottom of the horn. I'm curious; what was the purpose of this shot?

Agree. The crop of the horn is a minor thing, however, in a strong shot like this.

Hi,
Nice photo.

I like almost everything about it.

What would I do differently?

I would have rotated the camera to keep the bell of the horn in the photo and cropped after to keep it in the final image.

I hope this comment helps you.

Thank you. I can certainly re-crop so the bell isn't chopped off. I'm a trumpet player and it doesn't bother me, but several have mentioned it so, I will be careful with it on future edits.

THanks!

B
