You took full advantage Roger, really nice work. I really like the tight crop of the first, that's a very intense shot!

And you just happened to be there, with your big lens pointed at a dead tree branch when the bird came along. Really nice sequence of images Roger.

Bottom Line: Yes I was in the right place but not prepared. I did get lucky but IMHO that is a good thing.

Lucky perhaps, but the photographs are great and the contrast with the blue sky is almost unreal.
